Message Well, your pictures of the cylinder walls are so blurry I can't see shit. Some of those lines just look like thrust marks. I can't tell if it is scored or what...I'm assuming it is, since it had crap getting smacked around in there.

What I can tell you about the head is that I had a head get beaten up very badly (worse than your photo) and it was otherwise very good. So we machined the head to the maximum we could compensate for with a gasket, and it still didn't remove the damage. So, we tried a filler. That shit burned up and just created a nasty hotspot.

I'd say if that hole in the head is as deep as it looks, screw it. Just get another head...

Can't tell how badly the top of the piston is beat. Need a better pic. But if it's a normal Z, not trying to make a bazillion whp, and the piston damage can be smoothed out, it will still work fine as long as you don't leave any ragged edges on it.

So you definitely need a new head IMO. And if the cylinder walls are badly damaged, well, you can put in some bigger pistons and just have the short block rebuilt with oversized gear.

It's going to be expensive.
